Here is our newest baby cockatiel. His name is Little Ceazar. He is just about 3 weeks now. I took him in the house today as we will be home for the lunch feeding tomorrow. I also moved his parents, Romeo and Juliet to the big aviary. They are happier now being back with all the other cockatiels. Tomorrow we will move the nest box over.

This has got to be my sucess story. I believe April and May suffered some feather plucking while still in the nest box. If I had to say who I think was doing the feather plucking it would have to be Libby. She is not a real good mommy. When I brought April and May into the house they were very defenseful. They were afraid of me and they were not feeding easy at all. They have come along way. Now they love to fall asleep on my chest and i can rub April but not May yet. May still has some feathers to come out before I begin rubbing her. Here is a pic of them on my chest.. they were asleep before Oscar got up to get the camera.

New Cockatiel Hatchling!!

Romeo and Juliet have a new baby cockatiel. I am estimating that the baby is one day old and that would be consistant with the egg being layed 04/18. Over the next four days we should have 4 more baby cockatiels, if all the eggs are good. Hand feeding for these little guys will start on or about June 4th. What a Birthday present for me as my Birthday is June 5! If everything goes well, these hand fed babies will be ready for sale around July 15th. Keep checking back here for more updates! Hurray!!
